Fitment notes deserve close attention. The index contains a 4WD front-wheel figure, but the detailed AE3-184 FWD axle, differential, driveshaft, reduction-gear, steering-arm, and center-housing groups carry later application dates; several European FWD figures are specifically marked 1980–1983.

Those entries should be matched by figure, date, and market rather than treated as generic 1975–1978 fitment. The catalog also separates North American and European lighting, cab, frame, sideshift, and control configurations.

In the FWD steering section, replacing either earlier steering arm calls for ordering both CAR119868 and CAR119867, so installing only half of the matched update can leave the steering linkage with mismatched components.

The metric/inch conversion section warns that substitution does not apply to tapped holes or to mixing metric nuts with inch studs or bolts, and vice versa; forcing mismatched threads can damage the fastener or tapped hole.

Working on a loader backhoe involves heavy components and stored hydraulic pressure. Depressurize the relevant hydraulic circuit and positively support raised loader or backhoe structures before disassembly or part removal.
