Model-Specific Scope
The manual is built around the 591 cc air-cooled, four-valve RFVC single, its forced-pressure dry-sump oiling system, semi-double-cradle frame, and Pro-Link rear suspension. Identification pages show where to find the frame, engine, carburetor, and color-code markings. B- and U-model differences are carried through tire fitment, lighting equipment, turn signals, cable and harness routing, headlight service, air-cleaner components, and carburetor settings. Engine and Drivetrain Repair Depth

The manual flags two easy-to-miss repair traps: the half-decompressor can hold the right exhaust valve open enough to produce a false clearance reading, and the different-thickness A/B oil-pump rotor sets must not be interchanged. It also warns against forcing the crankcase halves together when shafts or dowels are misaligned. Rear-shock repair involves high-pressure nitrogen, while fork caps are air- and spring-loaded; those sections include the required pressure-release, support, and eye-protection precautions.
