For cylinder-head inspection, the manual gives a warpage service limit of 0.10 mm. Intake and exhaust valve clearance is 0.10 ± 0.02 mm with the engine cold, below 35°C (95°F).

Ignition timing is factory preset. With the engine at normal operating temperature, the inspection data specify 17° BTDC at 1,400 rpm and full advance of 33° BTDC at 3,250 ± 250 rpm.
