The manual-transaxle sections cover external controls, fluid service, and unit removal/installation. Neither file supplies a complete internal transmission overhaul procedure.
Build Breaks and Service Cautions
For 4WD vehicles, the manual separates the Intelligent Torque Controlled Coupling used through November 30, 2010 from the Direct Electro Hydraulic Actuator Coupling used from December 1, 2010. The later unit must remain level after its dipstick is removed to avoid losing its lifetime-fill fluid; installation guidance also calls out oil-seal protection and the required GDS clutch-learning reset.
During steering-column or subframe work, the steering wheel must stay centered and locked or the clock spring’s inner cable can be damaged. SRS circuits must never be resistance-tested at an airbag module. Fuel-pressure, brake, refrigerant, and lifting work requires appropriate shop equipment and prior service experience.
