Bulletins, Body Repair, and Model Breaks

Several entries provide starting VINs or model-year-specific part applications. These bulletins supplement only their listed systems and vehicles; they do not create complete repair coverage for every SC300/SC400 model year.

The UZZ30 SC400 collision portion supplies body-dimension drawings, panel fit standards, high-strength and corrosion-resistant steel identification, sealing and undercoating areas, and exploded views for structural panel replacement. It covers cutting and welding operations but expressly excludes painting.

Specifications, Tools, and Repair Cautions

Reference material includes component-specific torque tables, capacities, pressure-test data, wear limits, clearances, alignment specifications, adjustment charts, and electrical test values. Preparation pages identify SSTs and service materials by number. During valve-clearance adjustment, the manual warns that the aluminum lifter is easily scratched and that a dropped shim can fall into the oil pan or require exhaust-camshaft removal. Steering-gear assembly calls for correct seal orientation and protection over the rack and control-valve serrations because an unprotected seal lip can be damaged.

Coverage is section-specific. The dedicated wiring manual is for the 1992 SC300 JZZ31, engine-overhaul material is labeled 1UZ-FE, and collision repair is labeled SC400 UZZ30. A dedicated SC300 engine overhaul and a full manual-transmission overhaul are outside this PDF’s scope.

Follow the manual’s isolation and hazard instructions before SRS, TRAC, brake, refrigerant, lifting, or electrical work. The airbag system retains backup energy, the TRAC circuit contains high-pressure fluid, and A/C service requires proper recovery equipment and compatible refrigerant oil.
