  • Engine, cooling and fuel. Engine removal and installation, piston and cylinder inspection, crankshaft runout checks, oil-pump bleeding, cooling-system tests, carburetor synchronization and fuel-pump testing.
  • Clutch, driveline and brakes. Primary and secondary sheave service, V-belt checks, clutch engagement, drive-chain housing and jackshaft service, and hydraulic brake repair and bleeding.
  • Track, chassis and electrical. Track tension and alignment, slide-rail suspension, steering and front suspension. Wiring diagrams and component tests cover ignition, lighting, warmers and the Yamaha Power Valve System (YPVS).

SRX700G and SRX700SG Supplementary Service Manual

Yamaha specifies using the supplement with the base manual. It adds the G/SG wiring diagram and revised procedures for DC-CDI ignition, knock-sensor diagnostics, headlight relay and warmer tests, YPVS adjustment, and high-altitude clutch and carburetor settings.

Workshop References

Exploded views, tightening torques, wear limits, clearances and cable-routing diagrams support the repair procedures. For the G/SG YPVS adjustment, Yamaha specifies coupler YS-43092-1 and warns that an incorrect coupler can damage the CDI unit.
