Timing-pin kit FNH00536 and injector tester FNH01721 with adapter FNH00041 are identified for the documented checks. The timing notes warn that rotating the engine with the pin installed can destroy the pin.

The manual describes pump removal, installation, timing, and low-idle adjustment. Bosch service limits: Internal injection-pump repairs, sealed high-idle adjustment, and repair of injectors that fail bench tests are assigned to an authorized Bosch Diesel Service Dealer.

Powershift, Axles and PTO

Pressure and flow tests identify test connections, while the low-pressure control hydraulic schematic shows the shared supply circuits.

The 70A EHR remote-valve calibration section specifies PDT NH00500, cable 380000199, and an EHR software cartridge. It applies to the remote valves, separately from the EDC hitch system.

Electrical Fault Tracing

For the 8870/8870A and 8970/8970A, the new-nozzle opening-pressure specification is 255 bar (3,700 psi), compared with 227 bar (3,300 psi) for used nozzles. The testing section distinguishes these conditions.
