Engine-specific procedures cover 14B, 15B-FTE, S05C-B, S05C-TA, S05C-TB, and W04D-J configurations. The 14B and 15B-FTE material includes step-by-step procedures for cylinder-head-gasket and camshaft replacement. S05C-TB fuel-system work includes supply-pump and common-rail replacement.

Separating the procedures by engine helps technicians select the correct access, adjustment, and component-replacement information before planning the job. The engine-specific differences also extend to cooling, lubrication, vacuum pumps, and related chassis work.

SI units are primary, with metric and English equivalents.

Selected Valve Clearances and Component Test Limits

For both the 14B and 15B-FTE, the valve-adjustment sections specify hot clearances of 0.20 mm for intake valves and 0.36 mm for exhaust valves.

The 15B-FTE ECD inspection data include a timing-control-valve resistance of 10–14 Ω at 20°C. Its turbocharger inspection section specifies a maximum turbine-shaft axial play of 0.08 mm.
