Transmission and Axle Setup

Power-lift diagnosis combines valve bench tests with a fault-cause-remedy chart to help distinguish pump delivery problems from internal leakage when the hitch lifts slowly or fails to hold an implement. The CR 342 fixture is specified for valve testing.

The valve repair notes warn that tapping balls into their seats enlarges the seats. Relieve stored hydraulic pressure and securely support heavy assemblies before service.

Electrical Wiring and Circuit Tests

Standard and NAO dashboard layouts identify the different lighting and relay connections. Connector views, wire-color codes, and terminal tables connect the schematic references to the physical harness for open-circuit, ground-fault, and short-circuit diagnosis.

A worked brake-light fault example links fuse and switch checks with connector continuity testing.

Examples of Engine Settings and Synchronizer Limits

These are a few of the engine settings and transmission inspection limits included in the manual.

For the 5860's Perkins 903.27, cold valve clearance is 0.20 mm at the intake and 0.45 mm at the exhaust. Its injection-pump locking-angle check distinguishes 89° for AN-marked pumps from 88° for BN-marked pumps.

Transmission inspection specifies a minimum synchronizer-ring X measurement of 1.25 mm in the reverse-shuttle assembly and 0.5 mm in the main gearbox.
