• Exact vehicle coverage: K96WG (RHEL6, RHER6, NHEL6, NHER6), K94W (NUFL6, NUFR6), and K94WG (NHFL6, NHFR6), with separate left-hand- and right-hand-drive layouts where required. K96WG pairs the 6G72 SOHC MPI gasoline engine with the V4A51 4WD 4A/T or V5MT1 4WD 5M/T; K94W and K94WG cover the 4D56 fuel-injected diesel with the V5MT1 4WD 5M/T. What Changed for the 2000 Model

This publication is organized around the electrical changes introduced after the original 1999 wiring book. New or revised material covers the INVECS-II automatic transmission, keyless entry, glove-box lamp, motor antenna and antenna-length sensor, additional accessory socket, A/T fluid-temperature and shaft-speed sensors, oxygen-sensor applications, hazard-warning relay, A/T control relay, and associated ECU and harness combinations. That change-focused structure is useful when the connector callouts in the basic manual do not match the hardware fitted to a 2000 vehicle.

The harness section goes beyond a simple wire-path overview. It records added and discontinued connectors, revised connector colors, changed terminal counts, and relocated components such as the washer motors, fog-lamp and defogger relays, and engine-oil-level relays. Do not identify a connector by color or by a 1999 mounting location alone; several of those details changed for this model year and can send electrical diagnosis or repair work to the wrong branch of the harness.

The SRS-ECU connector arrangement was also revised. Reusing an earlier pin map during SRS testing can place a probe on the wrong circuit. The manual’s opening warning explains that improper SRS service can cause inadvertent airbag deployment or leave the restraint system inoperative, and it directs SRS-related repair to an authorized Mitsubishi dealer.

Each schematic is laid out from the fuse or fusible link at the top to the ground point at the bottom. Connector IDs match the wiring-harness configuration pages, while framed connector numbers, device symbols, harness-junction references, continuation blocks, shielded-wire markings, and input/output arrows help trace a circuit from the diagram to its physical location. Centralized-junction pages add engine-compartment and passenger-compartment relay-box layouts, junction-block views, fuse capacities, housing colors, and assigned loads.

The publication is a supplement, not a standalone replacement for the complete 1999 electrical wiring manual and not a general mechanical repair manual. Circuits that did not change may be marked for the previous publication rather than reproduced here.
