Carburetor, Clutch, and Engine Lubrication

The carburetor data separates the standard model's Dell'Orto PHBG 19BS from the Mini's PHVA 12XS, including jets, needles, throttle slides, and initial idle settings. That distinction helps you select the appropriate reference when investigating starting or throttle-response problems.

Fuel and oil instructions distinguish the standard model's premix from the Mini's separate oil injection. The Mini has its own oil-level checks and pump-bleeding procedure, with labeled photographs identifying the pump drive and oil-line connections.

Clutch testing calls for tachometer 45129075000. The adjustment instructions describe spring settings and their limits, while gear-oil service specifies ATF Dexron 3.

WP Suspension, Steering, and Chain Drive

WP Suspension reference data lists separate fork and shock part numbers for each model. Static- and riding-sag drawings explain the measurements, while rider-weight spring tables and handlebar-position illustrations support chassis setup.

Steering-head bearing work includes greasing and play adjustment using bearing key 45229050000. The shock spring-preload procedure identifies hook wrench T106S.

Brakes, Wheels, and Cooling

The specified fluid is DOT 4 / DOT 5.1. Silicone-based DOT 5 is incompatible with the brake seals and lines.

Troubleshooting and Repair Scope

The fault/cause/action tables connect running problems with fuel delivery, intake and exhaust condition, and ignition faults. They also address overheating, gear oil escaping through the breather, and water in the gear oil.

Electrical coverage includes SELETTRA ignition and NGK spark-plug reference data, with fault checks involving the kill switch, ignition coil, and connectors. Wiring diagrams are not included.

Internal engine repair: Piston, connecting-rod, and crankshaft work appears in the service schedule, but this owner's manual does not provide complete top-end or internal engine overhaul instructions.

Selected Clutch, Torque, and Cooling Specifications

Engine and chassis torque tables include cylinder-head, stator-clamp, and outer-clutch-hub fasteners. For example, the engine table specifies 18 Nm (13.3 lbf ft) for the M7 cylinder-head screw.

The clutch-check section gives a slip-speed range of 8,700–9,300 rpm for both models. Cooling-system data lists a coolant capacity of 0.5 l (0.5 qt.).

Reference data also covers tire pressures, carburetor jetting, fluid capacities, and brake wear limits. Maintenance schedules use both operating hours and annual intervals.
