The rear link-type Monocross section covers swingarm bearings, relay-arm bushings and pivot inspection. Rear-shock work includes removal, spring replacement and external adjustment; leaking or damaged damper units are replaced as assemblies. Yamaha warns against opening the pressurized cylinder or reservoir and reserves shock disposal for its dealers.

CDI Wiring and Ignition Troubleshooting

Cable-routing diagrams identify hose, cable and ignition-lead placement. The wiring diagram includes component references and wire-color codes, while the ignition flowchart organizes checks for a no-spark condition.

Pickup- and source-coil tests include meter connections and temperature-dependent resistance specifications. Ignition-coil specifications remain in the reference tables, but the separate inspection page 6-4 is missing.

Race Setup and Suspension Symptom Charts

Tuning coverage extends to spark-plug condition, sprocket selection and front-to-rear suspension balance. The fork oil-level graph explains changes through suspension travel; symptom-remedy tables address harshness, bottoming, understeer and poor rear-wheel traction.
