Engine, Fuel, and Drivetrain Repair Depth
The engine chapters run from compression-based top-end diagnosis through crankcase separation and bottom-end repair. They cover camshafts, rocker arms, cam-chain tensioner, cylinder head, valves, guides and seats, pistons, hydraulic clutch components, balancer, transmission shafts and gears, shift drum, crankshaft, and crankcase combination. Crankshaft and connecting-rod bearings are color-coded, select-fit parts, with bearing-selection tables and clearance verification after replacement. Mixing grades or assembling without checking the fitted clearance can damage the journals.
The carburetor section covers removal, bank separation, individual carburetor disassembly, reassembly, combination, synchronization, and pilot-screw adjustment. It warns that the diaphragms must be removed before passages are cleaned with compressed air, or the diaphragms can be damaged.

The manual warns that its dedicated bleeding sequence must be followed whenever the hydraulic circuit is opened and that the secondary-master-cylinder push rod must not be disassembled; either error can prevent correct brake performance.
Front suspension coverage includes fork removal, internal disassembly and assembly, oil-seal and bushing work, wheel service, and steering-stem bearings. Rear coverage includes the wheel, swingarm, shock linkage, and shock-absorber removal, but the shock absorber itself is specifically marked not to be disassembled.

This is workshop-level repair information. Engine removal requires secure support, fork components are spring-loaded, and cooling and D-CBS hydraulic systems can retain pressure. The procedures assume basic motorcycle repair knowledge and suitable shop tools.
