Honda Manual Features & Content Preview
- Two PDFs containing 305 pages of Honda factory material: a 273-page CG125 Titan KS/ES/KSE and CG125 Cargo shop manual for production beginning in 2002, plus a 32-page CG125KS(6) addendum dated November 2005 for BR, 2LA, and 3LA market types.
- Variant coverage is separated where the hardware changes: kick-start-only KS/Cargo versus electric-plus-kick ES/KSE, the ES hydraulic front disc versus drum brakes on KS/KSE/Cargo, and regional carburetor, battery, fuse, cable, and harness configurations.
- Major engine repair procedures cover engine removal and installation, oil-pump inspection, carburetor disassembly, compression testing, cylinder-head and valve work, valve-guide replacement and seat refacing, piston/camshaft service, clutch and gearshift repair, crankcase separation, transmission, and kickstarter assembly.
- Chassis work extends through wheel and bearing service, spoke setup, fork disassembly and seal replacement, steering-stem bearings, swingarm and rear suspension, drum brakes, and Titan ES hydraulic-brake bleeding, master-cylinder, caliper, pad, and disc service.
- Electrical diagnosis is supported by charging, ignition, starter, and lighting system diagrams; current-leakage and peak-voltage testing; ICM, regulator/rectifier, relay, switch, meter, and sensor checks; and 18 pages of cable and harness routing.
- The CG125KS(6) addendum adds Brazil idle-emissions measurement, idle-drop pilot-screw adjustment, PAIR system testing, air-filter/check-valve/control-valve service, air-injection plumbing, and revised model-specific specifications.
Honda states that these manuals are written for users who already have basic Honda motorcycle maintenance knowledge. Because standard shop procedures and safety principles are not explained in detail, the material is suited to working mechanics and experienced owners with the proper tools, not first-time repairers.
Model and Document Scope
The core volume carries Honda cover code 00X62-KGA-602. Its stated coverage begins with motorcycles built after January 2, 2002 at the printed starting VIN sequences: Titan KS 9C2...2R140001, Titan ES 9C2...2R111001, Titan KSE 9C2...2R500001, and Cargo 9C2...2R004201. Regional data in this volume distinguish 1LA from 2LA specifications; the later addendum uses BR, 2LA, and 3LA type codes.
The CG125KS(6) addendum is not a standalone 2006 repair manual. It directs the reader to manual references 62KGADY, 62KGAHM3, and 62KGAZM5 for procedures and data not repeated there. Those three referenced publications are not included in this two-PDF set.
Engine and Drivetrain Detail
Exploded assembly views are paired with component-specific torque data, service limits, running clearances, capacities, inspection points, and troubleshooting charts. The addendum supplies its own oil-capacity, compression, ignition-timing, battery, and carburetor specifications, so the 2002 figures should not be carried over to the CG125KS(6) by assumption.
Tool references are specific enough for repair planning. Honda lists locknut wrench 07716-0020100, flywheel puller 07733-0020001, valve-guide remover/driver 07942-MA60000, fork-seal driver 07747-0010100, and peak-voltage adaptor 07HGJ-0020100. The ignition chapter also identifies the Imrie model 625 diagnostic tester as an alternative.
Diagrams and Repair Cautions
Named visual references include the lubrication-system diagram, cylinder-head/valve assembly view, crankshaft/transmission/kickstarter assembly view, charging-system diagram, ignition-system diagram, and three full wiring schematics labeled for Titan KS, Cargo, and Titan ES. KSE repair coverage is present elsewhere in the core manual, but there is no separately titled KSE wiring page.
The cam-drive section highlights a high-consequence assembly trap: misalignment between the crankcase and cam-gear-shaft oil passages, or incorrect spring-stopper-plate positioning, can impair lubrication and lead to premature wear or engine seizure. The TUFFUP tube section warns that its larger double-tube construction can fold or be pinched if handled like a standard tube, causing pinholes and leaks.
Brake and fuel-system work requires proper ventilation, secure motorcycle support, and care to keep grease and contamination off braking surfaces. The PDF assumes those shop-safety fundamentals are already understood.
