The MF3S material is unusually detailed for a motorcycle repair manual of this period. These software procedures reflect the period MS-DOS toolchain and require the matching Ducati/Marelli hardware and files.

Important Scope and Repair Cautions

The chassis chapter is primarily a race-setup and troubleshooting reference rather than a full chassis-component overhaul manual. The foreword also directs technicians to the separate spare-parts catalog for information intentionally omitted from this publication.

The manual warns that minor edge impacts to the PANKL titanium connecting rods can initiate invisible cracks and fatigue failure, and it imposes a strict reuse limit on the racing rod bolts. It also distinguishes temporary timing-check belt tension from final running tension; confusing those settings can endanger the belts and valvetrain. Support the motorcycle securely and follow the manual's fuel, ignition, rotating-wheel, lifting, and solvent-safety precautions during repair and test work.
