Common-rail fuel pipes are treated as one-time-use parts after disconnection, and exposed ports must be capped; contamination can damage the HP pump and injectors, while reused pipes can leak. The D20DT section also warns against using Loctite 5900 and against blocking the vacuum-pump oil passage with sealant.
