TM1885 is the diagnosis and performance-verification half of Deere's service literature for the 310G. It explains how each system is supposed to work, gives symptom-based diagnostic charts, identifies test connections, and supplies the related factory specifications and adjustment criteria. The operational checkout is especially useful when the complaint is intermittent or crosses more than one system; each failed check directs the technician to the applicable diagnostic, adjustment, test, repair-manual group, or component technical manual.
This is not the complete component-repair volume. The cover directs users to TM1886 for 310G repair procedures and to CTM104, CTM207, and CTM331 for base-engine and fuel-system work. CTM77 covers alternators and starting motors, while CTM4687 covers the AS and MS Series front wheel drive axles. The cover also points to T133991 for the SERVICE ADVISOR system computer connection. Those publications are separate from this file. Buyers needing removal, internal disassembly, reassembly, or overhaul instructions should pair this Operation and Tests manual with the applicable repair publication.
Serial Breaks That Change the Procedure
Engine and fuel references for machines through S.N. 910055 use the mechanical fuel-system material. From S.N. 910056, the manual accounts for the DE10 electronic fuel system, engine control unit, display monitor, revised fuse information, and different Cab/ROPS and engine/transmission harness diagrams. The later electrical material also covers engine and monitor service-code access, display-monitor programming, tachometer calibration, and throttle-position-sensor testing.
The hydraulic chapters distinguish the ride-control circuit, circuit-relief arrangement, loader/stabilizer valve design, lever adjustment, self-leveling linkage, and return-to-dig switch procedures at S.N. 913416/913417. Front-axle alignment data also separates non-powered axle configurations at S.N. 911131/911132. These serial breaks matter before selecting a schematic, test port, adjustment method, or repair path.
Diagrams, Tools, and Test Setup
