The G/SG supplement specifies TORX socket 90890-01308-00 for its pick-up-coil mounting bolts. H/SH introduces revised pick-up mounting and a starting-circuit cut-off system operated through the neutral and clutch switches.

TCI block diagrams, reserve-lighting troubleshooting charts, and the H/SH starting-circuit diagram support these tests. The TCI section warns that running without the spark-plug caps fitted can damage ignition-coil insulation.

Generator brushes: The XS650E inspection section lists 14.5 mm as the standard brush length and 7.0 mm as the wear limit.
