Timing illustrations show camshaft alignment and tensioner installation. The assembly notes warn that uneven camshaft-cap tightening can damage the cylinder head, caps, and camshafts.

YCC-T, Fuel Injection, and California Emissions

Separate procedures address the throttle-valve position sensor and the throttle-cable-pulley sensor. Basic and alternate throttle-body synchronization methods are included, alongside fuel-pressure testing with the specified pressure gauge and adapter.

Throttle-body service covers removal, cleaning, inspection, and adjustment; the manual expressly prohibits disassembly of the bodies themselves. California coverage includes canister and rollover-valve checks with variant-specific hose routing. EXUP cable adjustment and air-induction valve checks have their own procedures.

Cable-routing diagrams show harness and hose placement. Fuel-line removal includes precautions against fuel spray from residual pressure.

Fork, Rear Shock, and Brake Service

ECU Diagnostics and Electrical Fault Tracing

The DENSO ECU section links fault codes to sensor readings, actuator tests, wiring checks, and reinstatement criteria. Its intake-air-pressure diagnosis distinguishes sensor-circuit faults from blocked or detached hoses, helping identify which branch of the system needs attention.

The fuel-injection circuit and starting-circuit cut-off diagrams support connector and interlock tracing. Symptom-based troubleshooting also addresses starting failures, unstable idling, clutch drag, and overheating.

A Preview of Valve Clearances and Fuel-Pump Data

These selected values give a small preview of the factory reference data; the manual also provides spark-plug gaps, fluid capacities, and electrical test specifications.

For the covered models, cold valve clearance is 0.12–0.19 mm at the intake valves and 0.16–0.23 mm at the exhaust valves.

The 2C0/DENSO fuel pump has a specified output-pressure range of 319.0–329.0 kPa. This is the pump specification listed in the engine data tables.
