The transfer section provides disassembly, inspection, and reassembly coverage for both AXC layouts, while the front differential chapter carries the repair through gear-contact and backlash adjustment rather than stopping at removal and replacement.

There are several useful factory cautions that show the depth of the 4WD material. Suzuki warns that incorrect towing methods on the full-time 4WD system can overheat or damage the drivetrain. The front-differential overhaul also treats the bevel gear and pinion as a matched set, which is important when evaluating gear-noise repair and replacement parts.
