The 1989 supplement documents the change from 428-series to 520-series chain and revised engine and rear sprockets. It also identifies the carburetor throttle-valve limiter and exhaust power-reduction plate. The 1990 supplement adds YTX5L-BS battery servicing.

Electrical coverage distinguishes the earlier combined CDI/ignition-coil unit from the separate components used from the Y model onward. The later material adds individual coil checks, a CDI diode-test table, and separate wiring diagrams for T–X and Y/K1 models. The K6 supplement provides its own regulator/rectifier test table and wiring diagram, keeping later fault tracing separate from the early electrical checks.
