The cautions are component-specific. Torch cutting near the front pillar or rear fender can ignite concealed insulation, while uncontrolled pulling on ultra-high-tensile sections can distort adjacent structure. During FS5A-EL installation, the torque-converter studs must engage the drive plate before the transaxle bolts are tightened or the drive plate can be damaged; the steering wheel also has to be secured after shaft separation to protect the clock spring.
