The disassembly chapter works as a repair path rather than a loose parts list. It covers the housings, stacker, waste ink pads, ASF, Main/PS/panel boards, Print Head, CR Scale, APG assembly, Carriage Shaft and Unit, CSIC Board, Ink System Unit, paper-eject assemblies, PF Roller, CR/PF motors, and the major paper, carriage, and platen-gap sensors. Screw identification, cable routing, spring and gear positions, lubrication references, and final inspection points are integrated into the procedures.
Several repair traps are called out. The APG gears must retain their specified phase relationship, and the FLAG Release assembly must be correctly positioned or platen-gap and upper-guide movement can be disturbed. The CR Scale is fragile and must pass through the encoder correctly; damage or contamination can create carriage faults and print defects. During PG adjustment, ink around the Print Head can false-trigger the continuity gauge, while prolonged contact can allow ink to stick and damage the head.
Adjustment, Maintenance, and Service-Tool Coverage
