Missing procedure pages: Printed pages 9-20–9-21 are absent from the camshaft-installation sequence. Printed pages 11-6–11-7 are also absent from the shift-fork/shift-drum section. These procedures are incomplete in this PDF.

Carburetor Versions and California Equipment

Revised fuel-system data distinguishes the 1984 VD58A standard and VD59A California carburetors from the “After ’84” VD58C and VD59B versions. On later units, the No. 1 and No. 4 jet needles differ from those in No. 2 and No. 3.

Carburetor separation instructions warn that incorrect separation direction can damage the joint pipes. California coverage includes charcoal-canister plumbing, vacuum-hose routing, and purge-control-valve tests associated with difficult hot restarting.

Cooling, Suspension, and Brake Limits

Water-pump coverage includes leakage checks and assembly replacement; further internal pump disassembly is outside the documented procedure.

Chassis chapters provide wheel and axle limits, fork and steering data, and rear-shock and swingarm specifications. Brake references distinguish disc, caliper, master-cylinder, drum, and lining inspection limits, with assembly-specific torque information.

Steering coverage gap: Printed pages 12-24–12-25 are absent between front-fork installation and steering-bearing replacement. The steering-stem removal sequence is incomplete.

Cold-coil testing: Revised ignition-coil data specifies 12.6–15.4 kΩ secondary resistance with the coil cold, alongside primary-resistance and insulation checks.
