The lower-engine chapters cover crankcase separation, crankshaft and connecting-rod inspection, piston and ring measurement, cylinder-liner removal and installation, and bearing selection. Main-bearing charts are divided into three engine-number bands: up to 104342, 104343-181049, and 181050 onward. Lubrication coverage includes the sump, oil pump and drive, pressure-warning switch, oil circuit, and heat exchanger.
Clutch repair includes cable adjustment, pack disassembly, plate inspection, hub and basket alignment, and reassembly. The six-speed constant-mesh transmission section covers the selector shaft, forks and drum, input and output shafts, gears, bearings, and sprag clutch.

Camshaft caps are numbered and non-interchangeable; uneven release or rotating the camshafts at the wrong stage can let valves contact each other or the pistons.
