Engine repair is divided into clear workshop sections for removal and installation, cylinder-compression testing, camshaft and cam-chain service, cylinder-head disassembly, valve-guide replacement, valve-seat refacing, crankcase separation, transmission and shift-fork work, and crankshaft, bearing, piston, ring, and cylinder inspection. The manual also states which jobs can be completed with the engine in the frame and which require removal.
