This factory publication is the Beech Bonanza A36 Pilot’s Operating Handbook and FAA Approved Airplane Flight Manual, not a complete shop repair manual. It is suited to pilots and owners who need approved operating, loading, performance, and routine-servicing information for the covered A36 serials. Mechanics can use it for airplane-specific limitations and servicing context, but internal repair and overhaul work requires the separate maintenance publications.

• Factory document coverage: A 432-page PDF of Raytheon P/N 36-590002-37B, reissued November 2002 and revised January 2006 as P/N 36-590002-37B2 / Revision B2. Coverage is limited to A36 serials E-1946, E-2104, E-2111 through E-3629, and E-3631 through E-3635. Its organization follows GAMA Handbook Specification No. 1 through Revision 2.

Operational Scope and Serial Differences

The handbook brings the limitations, required placards, kinds-of-operation equipment list, normal checklists, and immediate-action emergency procedures together in the approved flight-manual format. Serial-specific distinctions are preserved rather than treated as one configuration. These include the landing-gear warning horn used through E-2467, except E-2458, versus the horn and GEAR UP annunciator arrangement for E-2458 and E-2468 onward. Separate fuel-selector placards apply before and after E-3047, while later-airplane or service-kit compliance can also change the performance corrections and fuel-flow information used.

The installed supplements are not blanket approvals for every airplane in the main serial range. Their applicability depends on the equipment, modifications, registration basis, and aircraft-specific records for the airplane being operated.

Performance, Weight and Balance, and Technical Views

Descriptive data covers certified weights, fuel and oil capacities, propeller specifications, cabin and entry dimensions, baggage volumes, center-of-gravity terminology, and instrument markings. The weight-and-balance section explains weighing, loading calculations, seating and baggage stations, moment-envelope checks, and equipment-list use. Because this PDF contains completed records for E-2788, another airplane requires its own current equipment list and approved weight-and-balance data.

Servicing Scope and Repair Cautions

Section 8 addresses inspection periods, towing, parking, tie-down and jacking, storage, external power, fuel strainers, oil and filter changes, battery care, tires, shock struts, the shimmy damper, brakes, induction and instrument-air filters, oxygen servicing, alternator precautions, magnetos, cleaning, approved oils, consumable materials, and lamp replacement. It does not provide full structural repair, component disassembly, engine overhaul, or electrical wiring-diagram coverage. Those repairs belong in the separately listed Bonanza Series Maintenance Manual, Parts Catalog, and Wiring Diagram Manual.

The servicing cautions are component-specific. Reversed polarity, an open alternator circuit, or improperly grounded regulator terminals can seriously damage the charging system and connected electrical equipment. High-pressure washing can unseat engine seals, strip lubricant from trim-tab hardware, remove grease from landing-gear components, and force moisture into the structure. Alteration and repair work must be performed by properly licensed personnel, and limited pilot-performed preventive maintenance still requires the applicable regulations and maintenance instructions.
