The service manuals cover different outboard configurations, with separate procedures for carbureted two-stroke and fuel-injected four-stroke engines. The Jetdrive publication supplements the applicable outboard owner’s and service manuals with jet-specific operating and service information.

X-series section: The C115X, 115X, S115X, B115X, 130X, S130X and L130X cover is followed by the same contents as the preceding W-series section. This section does not provide a distinct X-series revision.

The CV115E’s Schnurle, or loop-charge, powerhead section provides step-by-step procedures for removal, crankcase disassembly and reassembly. Inspection coverage extends to cylinder condition, piston fit, ring clearance, crankshaft deflection and reed-valve condition, with component-specific torque tables and assembly illustrations.

Carburetor service includes float and needle-valve inspection alongside synchronization and timing adjustments. The CV115E notes warn that overtightening a pilot screw can damage its tip.

Four-stroke procedures: The F115/LF115 publications add camshaft and valve work, timing-belt installation, vapor-separator disassembly and fuel-pressure-regulator checks. Their EFI troubleshooting sections connect symptoms and diagnostic indications with fuel-delivery, sensor and ignition checks.

Gearcase and Trim-System Repair

Lower-unit procedures distinguish forward-gear, pinion and reverse-gear shim selection, supported by measurement illustrations and backlash charts. Water-pump exploded views and shift-slider assembly drawings show the relationships between the impeller, drive shaft, propeller shaft and clutch components.

A Preview of CV115E Cylinder and Ring Inspection Limits

For CV115E cylinder inspection, the manual lists a maximum taper of 0.08 mm. The cylinder-head inspection section gives a maximum allowable warpage of 0.10 mm, alongside the related checking and resurfacing information.
