This Yamaha outboard service manual collection combines the 1995 115C/115D, 130B/L130B and 140C/L140C manual, P/N LIT-18616-01-40, with separate V-series, W-series and 115C/130C publications. The first manual also covers the U-series USA/Canada model names listed above.

Model Identification and Publication Differences

X-series section: The X-labeled cover identifies C115X, 115X, S115X, B115X, 130X, S130X and L130X. Its remaining pages duplicate the W-series manual, including the identification tables and closing LIT-18616-01-92 imprint. This section does not contain a distinct X-series interior.

Carburetors, Oil Injection and Engine Repair

Fuel-line and oil-line layout drawings show hose routing, check-valve direction and remote-tank connections. Carburetor coverage addresses the independent pilot circuits, float inspection and linkage settings rather than treating synchronization as a single idle-speed adjustment.

Oil-injection procedures include pump-link synchronization and discharge measurement. The bleeding and pump-output test sections explain lubrication precautions because incorrect test fueling can cause engine seizure.

Internal engine coverage extends to cylinder-bore measurements, piston-ring clearances, crankshaft runout and bank-specific piston identification. The first publication also identifies crank-disc seal-ring orientation as a breakage risk during crankcase assembly.

Lower-Unit Shimming and Water-Pump Service

CDI, Charging and Starting-System Diagnosis

Component-location views and wiring diagrams connect the stator assembly, charge and pulser coils, CDI unit, rectifier/regulator and oil-level controls. Trouble-analysis charts address starting faults, poor acceleration, charging problems and trim-system symptoms.

The earlier publication specifies analog-meter checks for certain electronic components; later publications add peak-voltage testing with the specified adapter. Starter and PTT motor sections include armature, brush and commutator inspection, while trim-control coverage includes relay, switch and sensor tests.

A Sample of Engine Inspection and Coil-Test Data

A few examples from the first publication show the inspection detail available. Its cylinder-head warpage limit is 0.1 mm, and maximum connecting-rod axial play is 2.0 mm.

For charge-coil testing, resistance between the black/red and blue leads is specified at 55–83 Ω. These examples are a small selection of the component-specific limits and electrical test data in the collection.
