The manual also calls out rebuild traps that are easy to miss. Engine timing gears use match marks, the cylinder-head gasket and shim have a defined orientation, and main-bearing components are indexed; incorrect assembly can upset timing or lubrication and damage internal parts. In the transmission, the 4WD/Quick Turn clutch thrust-collar oil groove must face the gear and the differential shim locations must be preserved, or backlash and tooth contact can be lost. The cab chapter requires R134a-only equipment and sealed open lines because contamination or an incorrect charging connection can damage the compressor and create a high-pressure hazard.
Heavy repair work should be performed with the tractor securely supported, implements lowered, stored hydraulic pressure relieved, and the battery isolated. Refrigerant recovery and charging involve high-pressure equipment and are identified in the manual as specialist work.
