The five PDF files total 523 pages, or 505 pages excluding the duplicate schematic file: a 310-page parts catalog, an 18-page foldout schematic set, a one-page catalog cover, and a 176-page Model 813 manual. The remaining file repeats the same 18-page schematic set.
Assembly and System Documentation
The exploded illustrations show how the yaw beam, conveyor bed, and stir auger fit together. Separate breakdowns cover the left- and right-hand control consoles, hopper gates, and fuel tank installations. Track-drive pages distinguish planetary hub assemblies, rollers, tensioning hardware, and track-pad configurations before repair parts are selected.
The legacy ProPaver Changes By Date & Serial Number table documents changes that matter when matching older components. Examples include the 2000-series screed at S/N 2-3057 and the tapered conveyor motor shaft and drive sprocket from S/N 2-3128. These build changes are more useful for parts selection than model name alone.
Screed coverage separates the earlier 13- and 16-foot arrangements, the 813 15-foot addendum, the 814-2 14-foot screed, and the 815-2 15-foot screed. Joint-matching shoes, gutter attachments, propane heating, and ditch plate kits have their own breakdowns. Illustrated ditch plate installation instructions address the mounting differences on the 2000 screed.
Engine assembly views distinguish turbo and non-turbo installations, including turbo layouts with and without a shroud. Model 813 Maintenance and Engine Repair
The companion manual adds operating controls, paving depth and crown adjustment, screed-heater operation, and hydraulic filter service. Its Isuzu section provides cylinder-head bolt tightening guidance for gasket replacement, with separate specifications for new and reused bolts. The section also covers radiator-cap pressure checks and supplies compression-pressure specifications, injection data, and fluid capacities.
The Engine Troubleshooting charts organize no-start, unstable-running, low-output, and overheating complaints by possible cause. The manual also warns that an improper injection-nozzle spray pattern or opening pressure can damage the pistons.
These maintenance and engine procedures belong to the Model 813 volume. The later-model catalog sections remain parts and schematic references rather than a full workshop repair guide.
Hydraulic and Electrical Schematics
Troubleshooting older pavers often comes down to tracking lines and wires. The 813 Hydraulic Schematic and four-sheet 814-2, 815-2 Hydraulic Schematic cover travel, material-flow, and cylinder circuits, with pressure and flow reference data. Assembly pages identify the M46 tandem and pressure-compensated pumps. Separate breakdowns cover the relief/combiner valve, case-drain manifold, and pause manifold.
On the electrical side, the diagrams trace wiring for the Murphy holding relay circuits, solenoid valves, glow plugs, and the alternator charging system. Later sheets include Engine and Hydrostat Functions and LH Operator Control Panel Schematic. The Power Depth Diagram shows connections for optional automatic slope-and-grade control.
A specific Model 813 warning explains that selecting automatic conveyor/auger control at one console and manual/reverse at the other can cause premature drive-component wear or failure. Always ensure hydraulic systems are fully depressurized before inspecting lines or matching replacement valves, as residual high pressure poses a severe physical hazard.
