- Coverage and document identity: This 276-page PDF set reproduces the 1977 Honda Motor Co., Ltd. factory shop manual in six 46-page files. It covers the base CB750, CB750K1 through K8, CB750F and F1, plus the dedicated F2 ('77) and F3 ('78) supplements. The CB750A Hondamatic is outside this manual's scope.

Model and Serial Coverage
The manual's initial-frame table identifies the base and K-series builds as CB750 1000001; K1 1055004; K2 2000001; K3 2200001; K4 2341915; K5 2525947; K6 2540001; K7 ('77) 2700002; and K8 ('78) 2800001. F-series starts are CB750F 1000002, F1 2000003, F2 ('77) 2100001, and F3 ('78) 3100002.
The late supplements narrow the application further: K7 starts at engine CB750E-2700001 and frame CB750-2700002; F2 starts at CB750E-2600004 and CB750F-2100001; K8 starts at CB750E-3000001 and CB750K-2800001; and F3 starts at CB750E-2200001 and CB750F-3100002.
The K1-K4 material tracks more than specification changes. It covers the drive-chain oiler and link-type carburetor service, along with cam-chain tensioner, fork, shock, and wheel-hub revisions. It also explains the K3 starter safety unit and clutch switch, three-circuit fuse panel, brake-lining wear indicator, and switchgear changes. Later supplements isolate the K5, K6, K7, K8, and F-series differences in fuel, clutch, breather, suspension, O-ring chain, brakes, air cleaner, connecting rod, and wiring.
Engine and Transmission Systems
The engine chapters map the 736 cc four-stroke OHC inline-four as a complete repair system rather than a collection of tune-up notes. They trace the dry-sump oil path through the separate tank, delivery and scavenge pumps, filter, bypass, relief valve, and leak stopper. Cam timing, cam-chain and tensioner work, cylinder-head inspection, valve guides and seats, piston and cylinder measurement, and crankshaft and connecting-rod bearing selection are handled in their own sections.
Several production breaks are called out where parts identification changes. Crankshaft bearing-mark selection applies from engine CB750E-1015587, while connecting-rod weight identification applies from CB750E-1026594. On K4 engines from CB750E-2352923, the cylinder-head sealing arrangement adds collars and rubber oil seals at specified fastener locations.
The wet multi-plate clutch and five-speed constant-mesh transmission chapters cover disassembly, inspection, reassembly, gear backlash, shaft condition, shift forks, shift drum, positive stopper, final shaft, and gear-position checks. Fuel-system coverage runs from tank and fuel-valve service through carburetor teardown, jet and float-valve inspection, float setting, idle adjustment, and four-gauge synchronization. The K7 supplement adds accelerator-pump and fast-idle checks.

Electrical Diagnostics, Maintenance, and Diagram Support
The ignition chapter identifies Toyo Denso ignition coils and the Hitachi contact-breaker assembly. The charging chapter identifies the Hitachi LD113-01 alternator, TL1Z-38 regulator, and SB6B-7 silicon rectifier. It includes the factory charging-test circuit, output and charging-current checks across engine speed, component inspection, and regulator procedures. Starting-motor, starter-clutch, magnetic-switch, battery-condition, normal-charge, and quick-charge sections complete the high-current electrical work. Body-electrical chapters cover the speedometer and tachometer, lighting, flasher relay, horn, handlebar switches, stop-light switches, neutral and oil-pressure switches, and harness connections.

Variant-Specific Repair Notes
The K1 supplement flags a front-hub and brake-disc bolt mismatch: using the earlier, longer mounting bolts with the narrower replacement hub can leave the disc plate loose, so the related hub parts must be treated as a matched set. For frames 1044650-2089878, Honda specifies the later double-lip fork seal and deletes the earlier backup ring; mixing the two arrangements or mishandling the seal can cause damage and leakage. The K7 O-ring-chain section warns that steam cleaning, pressure washing, and solvent-bearing chain lubricants can damage the O-rings, and it distinguishes this chain from the earlier joint-tool repair procedure.
