KTM’s 2013 Owner’s Manual covers the 350 EXC-F EU, AUS and SIX DAYS EU versions and the 350 XCF-W USA. Publication 3211863en, dated 07/2012 (© 2012), combines operating instructions, maintenance procedures and technical reference tables.

• Suspension setup: Fork compression and rebound adjustment, shock damping settings, sag checks and spring selection, with separate instructions for the SIX DAYS fork.

• Chassis service: Fork-leg and lower triple-clamp removal and installation, steering head bearing adjustment, shock replacement, handlebar positioning and throttle cable routing.

• Engine and fuel maintenance: Engine oil and filter changes, oil-screen cleaning, fuel-screen replacement, air-filter service and idle-speed adjustment.

• Brakes and clutch: Front and rear brake pad replacement, disc inspection, lever adjustment, hydraulic clutch fluid replacement and bleeding.

• Wheels and final drive: Wheel removal and installation, spoke-tension checks, chain adjustment, sprocket inspection and chain-guide positioning.

This manual is intended for owners learning to operate and maintain their KTM; work marked with the specialist symbol requires technical knowledge and is assigned to an authorized KTM workshop.

Operating Instructions and Maintenance Scope

The operating sections explain the digital speedometer, starting, shifting and preparation for sand, mud, heat or winter use. Service schedules distinguish routine checks from additional workshop work, while storage instructions cover seasonal lay-up and return to use.

Engine work: Valve-clearance checks, spark-plug replacement and internal engine work appear in service schedules or troubleshooting references, but this is not a full engine overhaul manual. The engine tables identify the two Eaton lubrication pumps and hydraulically operated multidisc wet clutch and provide engine tightening torques; those specifications do not constitute pump or clutch overhaul instructions.

WP Suspension and Chassis Service

The suspension sections distinguish the WP Up Side Down 4860 MXMA PA fork used on the EXC-F EU, AUS and XCF-W from the 4860 4CS fork on the SIX DAYS. Separate adjustment and triple-clamp instructions help you select the procedure for the fitted fork.

For the PDS 5018 DCC shock, illustrated unloaded, static and riding-sag measurements accompany rider-weight spring tables and high- and low-speed compression settings. These references help assess whether preload adjustment or a different spring is appropriate.

The chassis instructions also show throttle cable routing and steering head bearing service. KTM warns that lubricating the Teflon-coated lower shock heim joint dissolves its coating and shortens its service life.

Oil, Fuel, Exhaust and Cooling Maintenance

Step-by-step instructions cover engine oil and filter changes, oil-screen cleaning and fuel-screen replacement. Reverse circlip pliers 51012011000 are identified for oil-filter removal. Fuel-tank removal and fuel-screen replacement include precautions against contamination that can clog the injector.

Main-silencer repacking has separate EXC-F and XCF-W instructions, supported by exploded illustrations of the caps, packing and internal components. Air-filter cleaning and installation are also described.

The cooling section explains water-pump circulation and the thermoswitch-controlled SIX DAYS radiator fan, alongside coolant checks, draining and refilling.

Brake Service and Electrical Fault Identification

Brake illustrations show disc inspection and pad-retaining components. Hydraulic clutch fluid replacement includes the bleeding procedure and specifies bleed syringe 50329050000. Brake maintenance and repair require competent workmanship because incorrect service can compromise braking.

Electrical coverage includes battery removal and charging, the main fuse, individual circuit fuses and the SIX DAYS fan fuse. Headlight adjustment, bulb replacement and speedometer-battery replacement are documented.

Diagnostic scope: Troubleshooting tables address starting problems, low power, overheating and battery discharge. FI blink-code charts identify sensor and actuator circuits, with lambda-sensor entries limited to EXC-F EU and SIX DAYS. Reading fault memory with the KTM diagnostics tool is referenced, but tool-operation procedures and wiring schematics are not included.

Examples from the Suspension Setup Data

For the PDS shock, the manual specifies static sag of 33–35 mm and riding sag of 105–115 mm. The riding-sag measurement applies with the rider wearing full protective clothing, seated normally with feet on the footrests.

These figures accompany measurement illustrations and spring-selection guidance; they are setup references rather than suspension-travel specifications.
