Cam timing is treated as a critical indexed assembly; incorrect sprocket and chain alignment can produce valve-to-piston contact and serious engine damage. Piston-pin circlips are single-use parts, because a reused or distorted clip can lose tension inside the engine. During FOX shock repair, the valve-stack order and shock-shaft protection matter: disturbed shims alter damping, while a shaft allowed to spin in the holding clamps can be permanently damaged and begin leaking.
FOX shock service involves high-pressure nitrogen, while fuel and brake work introduces fire, vapor, pressure, and finish-damage hazards. Use the specified tools, protective equipment, ventilation, vehicle support, and system depressurization practices before beginning those repairs.
