Canon’s MF5700 Series Service Manual, dated May 31, 2005, covers the LaserBase MF5730, MF5750, and MF5770, including fax-equipped and non-fax configurations. The cassette-sensor bulletin explains how loading paper from the rear with the cassette installed can bend the sensor-flag shaft and cause incorrect paper detection. The image-formation section also warns that strong light exposure can produce photo memory on the photosensitive drum, causing white spots or black lines.
