The 2007 Ski-Doo RF Series service manual covers maintenance and repair for the models listed below. BRP wrote it for snowmobile mechanics already familiar with its service procedures and equipped with the required hand tools and special service tools. The package contains a 617-page PDF plus two separate wiring PDFs: 6 pages for V800 and 5 pages for 300F/550F, totaling 628 PDF pages.

| Model | Rotax engine |
|---|---|
| Expedition Sport 550F | 552 |
| Expedition Sport V800 | V810 |
| Freestyle Back Country 550F | 552 |
| Freestyle Park 550F | 552 |
| Freestyle Session 300F | 277 |
| Freestyle Session 550F | 552 |

| Legend Trail V800 | V810 |
| Tundra 300F | 277 |
| Tundra V800 | V810 |
The V810 is covered under the manual's Engine (810) section. It is the liquid-cooled, SOHC four-stroke used in the V800 models. Maintenance charts and storage procedures distinguish the 300F/550F machines from the V800, with a separate preseason preparation section.
Internal engine repair and V800 service requirements
The 552 engine chapter includes reed-valve inspection, fan-belt adjustment, and combustion-chamber volume measurement. It explains the relationship between chamber volume and cylinder-base gasket selection, including the risk of detonation and severe engine damage from incorrect gasket thickness.
V800 coverage extends to valve-clearance adjustment, camshaft timing, valve-guide replacement, and crankshaft plain-bearing replacement. Oil-pressure diagnosis and water-pump shaft and seal service address its lubrication and cooling systems. The repair notes also identify the different camshafts and warn that interchanging them can damage the engine.
The V800 diagnostic connection instructions cover MPI and MPI-2 interfaces. They identify the MPI-2 (P/N 529 036 018) and supply T-harness (P/N 529 035 869) used with B.U.D.S. These procedures require the diagnostic software and compatible interface hardware. ECM replacement coverage includes transferring vehicle information and performing the required resets.
Drivetrain details, wiring references, and scope
The V800 chaincase chapter includes mechanical reverse linkage inspection and adjustment. Suspension chapters document slider-shoe, idler-wheel, spring, and arm replacement; general rear-suspension setup is referred to the appropriate Operator's Guide. The shock section covers hydraulic and HPG shock inspection and replacement decisions. BRP specifies that drive pulley repairs be performed by authorized dealers.
Wiring diagnostics are broken down by engine platform. The separate schematics are labeled 2007 Legend/Tundra (V800) and 2007 Freestyle/Tundra/Expedition (300F/550F). Within the manual, the Engine Leak Verification Flow Chart and Fuel System Diagnostic Flow Chart support fault isolation. An engine-side connector pinout and the SC-4 Front Arm and Shock Absorbers exploded view provide electrical and suspension references.
Troubleshooting charts address drivetrain vibrations, starting issues, and engine backfires. Factory tables provide torque values, lubrication requirements, fluid capacities, electrical test values, and wear and clearance limits.
Working on snowmobile drivetrains and electrical systems involves inherent physical hazards. The manual includes precautions for rotating tracks, spring-loaded pulleys, and pressurized fuel systems.
