Two component-specific cautions matter during repair. Strong light or direct contact can damage the OPC drum surface and cause image defects. The manual also warns against substituting wire for the specified fixing-unit thermostat because the MFP can be seriously damaged. Internal laser-optical disassembly is prohibited; electrical isolation and qualified service practices are required around exposed mains, high-voltage charger circuits, moving mechanisms, and hot fixing components.
