During camshaft reassembly, uneven journal-holder drawdown can damage the cylinder head or holder thrust surfaces; the manual also identifies the dedicated high-strength bolts used there. In the throttle-body section, snapping a disconnected throttle valve shut can damage both the valve and body. The STV actuator must not be removed or disassembled and is supplied only as part of the throttle-body assembly.

Fuel-pressure work calls for controlled pressure release and strict ignition-source precautions. Brake and clutch hydraulic repairs require the specified fluid, complete bleeding, and final operation and leak checks before the motorcycle returns to service.
