Suzuki Manual Features & Content Preview

  • 1,399-page, six-PDF set centered on the factory IGNIS RM413 Service Manual P/N 99500U86G00-01E (1,210 pages), plus a 168-page Suzuki wiring manual and 21 pages of Vivid WorkshopData extracts dated 2010 and labeled for the 2003 Ignis 1.5 VVT (M15A).
  • RM413 engine coverage includes M13 VVT diagnosis, engine removal, timing-chain and cylinder-head repair, valve-clearance and shim service, lubrication and cooling-system work, and full internal unit repair through pistons, crankshaft, bearings, oil pump, and cylinder block.
  • Drivetrain and chassis procedures address 2WD/4WD manual transaxles, clutch, transfer, rear differential, front drive shafts, viscous-coupling propeller shaft, steering gear, EPS, front and rear suspension, brakes, and ABS diagnosis.
  • Heating and HFC-134a A/C sections provide circuit and symptom diagnosis, ECM-related checks, refrigerant recovery, evacuation, leak testing, charging, and repair coverage for the heater unit, blower, condenser, receiver-dryer, evaporator, expansion valve, pressure controls, compressor, and magnetic clutch.
  • Factory electrical diagrams map connector layouts, ground points, power and fuse distribution, wire colors, and circuits for M13A gasoline, M15A gasoline, and diesel versions, including engine/A/C control, immobilizer, power steering, ABS, and airbags.
  • Separate M15A repair extracts cover engine removal and installation, timing-chain work, cylinder-head mechanical service, adjustment data, belt layouts, torque references, and specified crankshaft-locking and pulley-removal tools.
  • Scope limit: the complete RM415 M15A and RM413D diesel supplementary service manuals are not part of this set. Those variants receive factory wiring coverage; included M15A mechanical coverage is limited to four Vivid WorkshopData PDFs labeled for the 2003 model.

Factory RM413 Repair Depth

Published by Magyar Suzuki Corporation in 2003, the core manual is explicitly assigned to RM413. Its engine-mechanical chapter is titled M13 Engine, not M15A. Within that coverage, the repair information runs from maintenance and on-vehicle testing into major disassembly and overhaul. It includes scan-tool data, fail-safe and DTC diagnosis, ECM connector and circuit checks, compression and oil-pressure testing, valve-clearance inspection and shim replacement, VVT components, timing drive, cylinder head and valves, pistons and connecting rods, crankshaft and main bearings, oil pump, and cylinder-block inspection.

Cooling documentation covers circulation and overheating diagnosis, draining, refilling and flushing, belt inspection and adjustment, thermostat testing, radiator and fan service, water-pump replacement, and coolant-temperature sensor checks. Related sections follow fuel delivery, EVAP and emission controls, electronic ignition, starting, charging, and exhaust systems. The general-information and maintenance chapters add VIN and engine-number locations, lifting points, electrical fault tracing for intermittent or poor connections, wire-color conventions, fastener-strength markings, service schedules, approved materials, torque tables, capacities, clearances, wear limits, and electrical test specifications.

The manual also contains unit repair for the manual transaxle, transfer assembly, and rear differential, including internal shafts, synchronizers, bearings, seals, and setup adjustments. Chassis material covers steering-gear repair, EPS DTCs and scan data, contact-coil centering, front struts and hubs, 2WD/4WD rear axle components, brake bleeding and pressure testing, master cylinder and booster, front disc and rear drum brakes, parking-brake adjustment, and ABS fault isolation. Body-electrical and restraint chapters address lighting, instruments, wipers, windows, locks, keyless entry, immobilizer diagnosis and key registration, body dimensions, seat belts, pretensioners, and airbag system diagnosis.

Wiring, VIN Coverage, and M15A Material

The 2005 factory wiring manual applies to M13A gasoline, M15A gasoline, and diesel vehicles with VIN sequences beginning TSMMHX51S00100001, TSMMHY51S00100001, TSMMHX81S00100001, TSMMHY81S00100001, or TSMMHX91S00100001. It explains connector and terminal identification, harness locations, grounds, power supply, fuse protection, and circuit-reading conventions. Representative schematics include Engine & A/C Control System (M13A/M15A), Cooling System (M13A/M15A), Immobilizer Control System, Power Steering, Air-Bag Control System, and Anti-Lock Brake System. Suzuki notes that a particular production harness may omit circuits shown for other specifications.

For the 1.5 VVT M15A, the added Vivid WorkshopData PDFs supply job-specific material for engine removal, timing-chain service, cylinder-head work, multi-stage tightening data, and adjustment specifications. The timing file identifies crankshaft-locking tool 09917-68221 and pulley-removal tools 09944-36011 and 09926-58010. These extracts support the named repairs, but they do not provide the full diagnostic and unit-repair scope of the missing RM415 supplementary manual.

Two cautions illustrate why the factory procedures matter. The RM413 manual warns that testing, driving, or towing a full-time 4WD vehicle with only one axle able to rotate can damage the drivetrain and create a serious safety hazard. During M13 timing repair, turning the crankshaft or camshafts independently beyond the permitted range after chain removal can cause valve-to-piston interference. A/C, brake, electrical, and airbag work also requires the pressure-release and isolation precautions stated in the manuals.
