2007 Outlook Repair and Diagnostic Coverage

The repair library is centered on 2007 Saturn Outlook XE, with some electrical component-location material headed for the Outlook XR. Drivetrain content includes wheel-drive shafts, the propeller shaft, rear differential carrier, torque tube, clutch-control module calibration, and Getrag 790 transfer-case removal, disassembly, cleaning, inspection, seal service, and reassembly. Representative graphics include the SIR “Module Power, Ground, Indicators, Rollover/Passenger Presence Sensors” schematic, ABS “Sensors” and “TCS Control & Indicators” schematics, the “Front Moveable Window Schematic (AXC/AXE),” the NV7 variable-effort-steering wiring schematic, and the “Transfer Case Disassembled View.” Connector pin views and component-location drawings support circuit tracing throughout the service files.

Electrical and transmission testing references the J 35616 terminal test kit and DT-47825 control-solenoid test plate. Cooling, A/C, restraint, and transfer-case procedures call out the J 24460-01 cooling-system pressure tester, J 39400-A halogen leak detector, J 42640 steering-column anti-rotation pin, and DT-48074 shaft-seal installer.

The SIR material requires system disabling before work around airbags, pretensioners, sensors, or related wiring. Incorrect steering-wheel SIR-coil centering can damage the coil and leave the restraint system malfunctioning. The Getrag 790 section warns that prying out input-shaft seals with a screwdriver or punch can damage the aluminum sealing surface, while the 2008 propeller-shaft supplement requires flange reference marks and replacement bolts and washers rather than reused hardware.

Important Scope Limits

This set does not provide uniform Outlook-specific repair coverage for every 2007–2009 system. The owner and navigation publications are GM documents, while the repair sections are Mitchell Repair Information printouts containing figures credited to General Motors rather than one GM-issued service publication. Part No. 15861569 B identifies only the 2007 owner manual, not the complete archive.

The five engine PDFs are internally labeled 2005 Cadillac CTS, 3.6L, not Saturn Outlook. The 2008 propeller-shaft and suspension supplements are titled for Acadia, Enclave, and Outlook, but the 201-page 2008 wiring file is labeled GMC Acadia. The 2009-specific material is the owner manual and navigation supplement, not a complete 2009 repair volume. The generic and GM trouble-code lists are code-definition references, not Outlook-specific diagnostic routines.
