Workshop Cautions
The throttle body is factory-set, and the manual warns that disturbing its painted screws can upset throttle/idle synchronization and create hard-start or poor-idle problems. It also warns against forcing the crankcase halves apart with a driver, which can damage the mating surfaces.
Fuel-system work requires pressure relief, cooling-system service must be performed with the engine cool, and brake repair depends on keeping friction surfaces free of oil and grease. Follow the manual's safety precautions and use appropriate protective equipment before beginning service.
