Engine, Fuel, and Cooling Repair Coverage

The specifications separate the 125 and 200 engine builds, transmission ratios, ignition data, and carburetor fitments. The 125 application is identified with a Walbro WVF 7C carburetor, while the 200 listings include Keihin CVK 7C and Walbro WVF 7D versions. That distinction matters before repair parts or carburetor settings are selected.

Fuel-system coverage starts with a labeled vacuum-pump supply diagram and continues through filter, tank, fuel-sender, air-box, and air-cleaner work. The carburetor chapter goes well beyond removal: it covers float and metering-rod inspection, pickup-pump components, vacuum diaphragm checks, the 200-specific cut-off valve, automatic-start device testing, and exhaust-gas-based idle adjustment. One manual-specific caution is easy to miss: the pressed-in carburetor parts and caulked throttle-shaft screws are not intended to be removed, because doing so can damage the shaft.

Engine coverage includes exhaust removal and complete power-unit removal and installation using appropriate lifting equipment. It also identifies assemblies that can be accessed with the engine left in the frame, including the CVT cover, variator, clutch, drive belt, ignition components, coolant pump, and top-end parts.

Chassis, Brake, and Electrical Work

Photo sequences support the removal of the saddle, body panels, luggage rack, central tunnel, leg shield, windshield, dashboard, lighting units, and helmet compartment. The chassis chapters then move into handlebar and stand repair, complete frame removal, wheel-bearing and seal service, wheel and brake-disc inspection, steering-head bearings, fork teardown and refill, and rear-suspension linkages.

The brake material is specific to the Atlantic’s linked system. It maps the front master cylinder, rear master cylinder, proportioning valve, calipers, and hoses, then covers fluid replacement and bleeding at all required points. The manual also warns that operating a brake lever while the pads or wheel are removed can eject a caliper piston and cause fluid loss. Brake, steering, and engine-removal work is safety-critical; use suitable lifting equipment and a torque wrench, and complete the specified operational checks before returning the scooter to service.

Electrical diagnosis is organized around an electrical-component location view, ignition/side-stand logic diagram, charging-system schematic, starter/interlock circuit, sensor circuit, and general wiring diagram. The related checks give multimeter test data for the coil, pickup, relays, alternator, switches, coolant thermistor, fuel sender, fan switch, and other circuits. The trilingual owner’s manual adds separate Atlantic 125 and Atlantic 200 wiring diagrams with keyed component legends.

Reference Data and the Engine-Overhaul Limit

Reference material includes the periodic-maintenance schedule, lubricating-point chart, approved fluids, capacities, component-specific torque tables, carburetor adjustment data, brake and wheel wear limits, fork inspection limits, and electrical test values. The workshop manual’s original release is December 2002 and identifies the ZD4MP frame family in its variant data; the owner’s manual is a September 2002 first edition.

This set covers normal service, chassis repair, electrical fault isolation, carburetor work, and engine removal, but it is not the separate internal Leader engine overhaul manual. Aprilia identifies the English engine workshop publication as P/N 8140684; that manual is referenced, not included.
