The 322-page manual applies to the 2003-2005 A1 through A3 machines. The square represents a frame-number digit that varies by machine.
The separate KLF250A6F sheet supplies model specifications and feature information only. It does not extend the service manual's repair coverage beyond A3. Likewise, the four-page European brochure is period sales literature covering several Kawasaki ATV models, not an additional workshop chapter.
Part No. 99924-1284-03 is the printed manual identifier. The number 92104-002 found inside the manual identifies Kawasaki Bond liquid gasket for crankcase assembly, not the publication itself.
Workshop Depth
The fuel chapter gives the A1 its own carburetor calibration and groups A2 onward separately, an important distinction before jets or pilot settings are selected. The top-end material goes well past routine valve adjustment: it covers camshaft and rocker inspection, compression fault charts, valve-guide replacement, seat cutting and lapping, cylinder and piston measurement, and ring wear checks. Engine removal leads into crankcase splitting, crankshaft alignment, connecting-rod inspection, transmission-shaft and shift-drum work, and reverse-shift service.
Final-drive coverage is unusually detailed. Both the front output bevel case and rear final gear case receive dedicated disassembly and assembly procedures, shim part-number tables, backlash checks, and illustrated drive/coast tooth-contact patterns. The chassis chapters add front and rear brake-panel service, drum and shoe wear inspection, steering-stem and tie-rod work, wheel alignment, and suspension-arm bushing service. Turning the engine with the cam-chain tensioner removed can cause engine damage, while allowing a loose chain to kink at the crankshaft sprocket can damage both chain and sprocket. Striking the alternator rotor can weaken its magnets.
