2004–2008 Yanmar 3YM30/3YM20/2YM15 Marine Diesel Engine Service Manual (P/N M9961-03E101)

This Yanmar service manual covers the 2004–2008 3YM30, 3YM30C, 3YM20, 3YM20C, 2YM15, and 2YM15C marine diesel engines. P/N M9961-03E101 is the March 2004 publication with the April 25, 2005 R1 revision, which adds the 2YM15.

The seawater-pump notes warn that incorrect rotation can twist and damage the impeller. Oil-change instructions also identify excessive crankcase vacuum during oil extraction as a cause of breather-diaphragm damage.

Trochoid pump inspection includes rotor-clearance limits and pressure-control-valve information. Intake and exhaust sections cover the crankcase breather and both L-type and U-type mixing elbows.

Starting, Charging, and Alarm Circuits

The standard Hitachi LR160-741 and optional LR180-03C alternators have separate wiring diagrams, exploded views, and output-characteristic charts.
