Engine and Fuel-System Detail

Engine-mounting, cooling, lubrication, intake and exhaust procedures accompany the internal-engine work. Fuel-pressure testing, ECM input/output specifications and GDS checks of crankshaft/camshaft signals support tracing running faults before selecting replacement parts.

On the 3.5L timing drive, the manual distinguishes RH and LH chains when original timing marks have faded. It also warns that incorrect crankshaft rotation can disengage a chain from its sprocket.

Transaxle Variants and Differential Setup

The 2.4L manual covers the M6GF2 and clutch hydraulics alongside the A6MF2 automatic; the 3.5L manual covers the A6LF2. Automatic chapters include TCM learning and speed, temperature and range-sensor data, but not a full internal clutch-pack and geartrain overhaul.

Solenoid installation cautions address O-ring damage from inadequate lubrication. Rear-differential setup instructions preserve bearing-cap matching and specify replacement of the pinion spacer.

Electrical Diagnosis and Module Setup

Each manual contains a 381-page body-electrical chapter. BCM/IPM functions, smart-key and immobilizer systems, and push-button start/PDM coverage are supported by system schematics and operating charts.

Other sections address fuse and relay boxes, the instrument cluster, lighting, locks, windows, mirrors and wipers. Parking assist, the backup camera, audio/navigation and rear-seat entertainment are also included.

A6MF2 and A6LF2 solenoid tables specify 5.1 Ω for the variable-force solenoids and 10–11 Ω for the SS-A/SS-B on/off solenoids. The accompanying operating charts relate their operation to transmission range and gear.

Rear-differential reassembly data gives a standard ring-gear-to-drive-pinion backlash of 0.10–0.15 mm, alongside shim-adjustment and tooth-contact-pattern guidance.
