All three variants use the 997cc liquid-cooled DOHC inline-four, four Keihin CVKD36 carburetors, a wet multi-disc clutch with hydraulic master/slave actuation, and a constant-mesh six-speed return-shift transmission. Installing dry clutch plates can cause clutch-plate seizure.
