The bulletins update shop procedures and service information, while the accessory sheets document kit installation. The flat-rate schedule provides job codes and noncumulative warranty labor allowances for planning covered work.

The shop manual's model-number and color table helps match repair coverage to the vehicle. The flat-rate schedule uses a different model list; it does not extend the shop manual's repair coverage. Accessory compatibility follows the applicable kit P/N.

Text Search, Bookmarks and Wiring Detail

Search and schematic detail: Text search is available in the accessory, bulletin and labor sections and part of the SM5 clutch chapter. Most shop-manual pages and the wiring schematics have no searchable text. Embedded bookmarks provide access to document groups and service sections. Small wiring labels require zooming; some SM5 labels remain coarse at higher magnification.

Supplied as one printable 827-page PDF, including the shop-manual cover, blank pages and eight repeated accessory pages: two additional copies of the windshield instructions and one additional trunk-liner copy.

Internal Engine Repair and Clutch Differences

Step-by-step instructions cover cylinder-head disassembly, valve-shim selection, crankcase separation and gearbox reassembly. Cylinder leak-down interpretation helps distinguish valve, gasket and piston/ring problems before teardown.

Inspection tables distinguish new dimensions from service limits. Exploded assemblies carry component-specific torque callouts, with fluid data and electrical test values supplied alongside the relevant procedures.

SM5 clutch diagnosis separates hydraulic operation from pneumatic assist. The SE5 HCM has its own pump and filter while sharing engine oil; its shift-system diagnosis connects TCM activation tests with hydraulic-pressure checks and mechanical-linkage inspection.

Diagnostic Equipment and Circuit References

B.U.D.S. procedures use the MPI-2 interface P/N 529 036 018, diagnostic cable P/N 710 000 851 and ECM adapter P/N 420 277 010. Software-based tests require the corresponding external diagnostic equipment.

Oil-Filter and Steering-Stud Cautions

The oil-filter bulletin explains how the similar Sea-Doo 1503 filter can allow unfiltered oil to circulate and severely damage the engine. The riser guidance warns that forcing the block onto the steering-stem splines with the central nut can crack or break the threaded stud.

Secure the vehicle for engine, fuel, brake, steering and electrical work, and follow the warnings in the relevant procedure.

Valve-Clearance and HCM Pressure Examples

Cold valve checks: Specified clearance is 0.11–0.18 mm for the intake valves and 0.22–0.29 mm for the exhaust valves. The valve-service section also explains adjustment-shim selection.

SE5 shift hydraulics: With the engine warm at 80°C (176°F), the recommended oil and the correct oil level, the HCM test specifies 900–1600 kPa at idle while shifting, with a nominal pressure of 1200 kPa.
