The service-information files combine mechanical repair procedures with related system diagnostics and component references. They carry Mitchell Repair Information Company copyright footers and identify Chrysler LLC as the source of their service illustrations; the owner’s manual adds vehicle operation and scheduled maintenance information.

Routan coverage is limited to the separate wiring-diagram publication. Select electrical drawings by the vehicle, engine and equipment identified on the diagram.

PDF Search, Bookmarks and Diagram Detail

Search and illustration detail: Service text and most owner’s manual text support PDF search. In the three standalone wiring publications, headings and figure captions are searchable, but labels within the drawings are not. Embedded bookmarks are provided in the owner’s manual only. Small wiring labels require zooming; some transmission hydraulic-schematic labels remain soft when enlarged.

The ZIP download contains 81 printable PDFs totaling 8,884 pages. The owner’s manual’s 543 pages include two cover pages and four blank pages, already included in that total. Section-title and figure-caption pages in the wiring publications are also included.

Engine Overhaul, Transaxle Repair and Vehicle-System Diagnostics

The selected coverage below previews the collection. Other sections cover battery testing and wiper/washer diagnosis.

• Diesel engine repair: Step-by-step procedures for complete engine removal and installation, cylinder-head work, timing-belt replacement, internal inspection and lubrication-system repair.

• Gasoline engines: Mechanical diagnosis and repair for the pushrod 3.3L/3.8L V6 engines and the belt-driven SOHC 4.0L V6.

The repair sections suit experienced technicians and well-equipped engine builders: the procedures assume precision measuring instruments, engine-lifting equipment, diagnostic scan tools and dedicated timing fixtures.

Diesel Cylinder Head, Timing and Lubrication

The diesel section describes a cast-iron block, aluminum cylinder head, variable-geometry turbocharger, charge-air cooling and cooled EGR. Its cylinder-head material extends to in-vehicle valve-seal replacement, crack and flatness inspection, valve-spring checks, guide-to-stem measurement and valve-seat refacing.

Piston-protrusion measurements determine head-gasket selection. The reassembly references also identify cylinder-head bolt sequences, torque-angle stages, camshaft-cap orientation, and hydraulic-lifter and rocker-arm placement.

Internal repair coverage includes crankshaft end-play measurement and bearing selection, balance-shaft timing, piston and connecting-rod inspection, ring fitting, crankshaft seals, the flexplate, transmission adapter plate and internal vacuum pump.

Separate lubrication procedures address the oil cooler, filter housing, piston-cooling jets, pan, pickup tube, pump, pressure sensor, oil separator and relief valve. Manifold, turbocharger and air-cleaner procedures cover the associated engine hardware.

Diesel fuel-system information identifies the CP3.2+ high-pressure pump, EDC16CP31 controller and Piezo CRI 3.0 injectors. Injector-classification procedures explain the relationship between injector correction codes and cylinder assignments in the ECM. Cooling and exhaust files add leak testing, overheating diagnosis, component service and exhaust-restriction checks.

Transaxle Overhaul and Chassis Service

The transaxle files go beyond fluid changes. They contain clutch-application charts, air-pressure checks, selective-fit references, bearing adjustments and illustrated internal assembly procedures. The 62TE material separately treats the underdrive compounder; hydraulic schematics show operating circuits for individual gear states.

Chassis references include ABS verification and bleeding, steering flow and pressure testing, suspension-component inspection, wheel bearings and CV-joint service. Brake diagnosis is supported by separate electrical fault tests rather than a maintenance checklist alone.

Module Diagnostics, HVAC and Powered Doors

Electrical diagnostic files provide fault conditions, possible causes, circuit tests and verification procedures for systems such as the CCN, door modules, wireless ignition node, park assist and blind-spot module. The DTC index is a code reference; detailed test procedures are contained in the individual diagnostic sections.

Sliding-door inhibitor tables help distinguish a system lockout from a motor, latch or wiring fault before replacement parts are selected. Learn-cycle and adjustment information accompanies the mechanical service procedures.

HVAC coverage separates automatic temperature control from manual three-zone diagnostics and includes front and rear heater/A/C component service. Body references supply opening dimensions, sealer, adhesive and weld locations, alongside trim, glass, latch and panel procedures.

Illustrations, Service Tools and Repair Cautions

Torque references are grouped by engine block, cylinder head, front engine, rear engine and accessory drive. Tool references include VM 10010 for compression testing, VM 1055 for gear holding, VM 9991 and VM 9992 for timing locks, VM 10012 for the balance shaft, and VM 9993 for crankshaft-seal installation.

The diesel timing procedures warn that incorrect positioning at the specified after-TDC service position can damage valves or pistons. Improper camshaft holding can also rotate the tone wheel and require camshaft replacement.

High-pressure common-rail work and engine lifting require the manual’s safety precautions and properly rated shop equipment.

Selected Diesel Head and Crankshaft Inspection Data

For the 2.8L diesel cylinder head, the specified flatness deformation tolerance is 0.075 mm. The gasket-selection table pairs piston protrusion at TDC of 0.300–0.399 mm with a 1.10 mm head gasket.
