Hyundai Manual Features & Content Preview
- Covers the 2013 Hyundai Veloster FS-series with 1.6 GDI and 1.6 T-GDI engines in two PDFs: a 1,134-page GDI volume and a 1,189-page T-GDI volume, totaling 2,323 pages.
- Body repair coverage spans front and rear door mechanisms, hood latch assemblies, and tailgate support systems, including glass/regulator replacement and panel adjustment.
- T-GDI engine mechanical procedures cover engine removal, timing-chain service, cylinder-head and cylinder-block disassembly/reassembly, plus turbocharger and intercooler replacement.
- The GDI volume contains M6CF1 manual-transaxle removal and cable adjustment, alongside D6GF1 DCT actuator service and GDS/G-SCAN learning procedures.
- Brake and steering sections cover ESC hydraulic-unit bleeding, longitudinal-G sensor calibration, and EPS troubleshooting, type recognition, and Absolute Steering Position calibration.
- IPM/body-control, Smart Key, and immobilizer diagnosis is supported by connector tests and scan-tool functions, with separate power-window and panorama-roof motor checks.
- Manual climate-control coverage includes refrigerant recovery, evacuation, charging and leak testing, compressor service, heater-unit replacement, and actuator inspection.
Body Assembly and Trim Documentation
Body dimension diagrams map tracking-gauge reference points across the front, side, interior, rear, and underbody, distinguishing projected dimensions from actual measurements. Beyond exterior panels, the documentation covers crash-pad and roof-trim removal, front and rear seat disassembly, and bonded windshield and tailgate-glass replacement. Panorama-roof work includes movable-glass adjustment, roller-blind replacement, and motor initialization.
Engine and Fuel-System Repair
Within the T-GDI engine chapter, compression testing, valve-clearance adjustment, and bearing-selection data support mechanical repair. Fuel-system procedures cover fuel-pressure testing, high-pressure fuel-pump and injector replacement, and electronic-throttle learning. Injector combustion-seal installation and sizing are documented with SST 09353-2B000.
Turbo-specific control-system testing addresses the boost-pressure sensor, Waste Gate Solenoid Valve, and RCV Control Solenoid Valve. Separate ignition, charging, and starting sections contain spark tests, alternator-output checks, and starter inspection.
Clutch, Chassis, and Restraint Systems
The clutch section distinguishes GDI release-cylinder bleeding from T-GDI concentric-slave-cylinder bleeding. Chassis repair includes driveshaft/CV-joint service and front-hub bearing replacement. Suspension procedures extend from strut and subframe removal to rear torsion-beam axle replacement and wheel alignment, while TPMS procedures cover sensor service and learning.
Separate Advanced and AUTOLIV Depowered restraint systems have airbag-module and pretensioner procedures. Advanced-system work includes SRSCM variant coding and the PODS-F occupant-detection reset.
The DCT installation cautions explain how using mounting bolts to close an assembly gap can break the external damper finger and leave debris between the clutches. Hub-bearing instructions also identify incorrect press loading as a cause of bearing damage.
Specification and Reference Data
Component-specific torque tables accompany fluid and lubricant specifications, wear limits, electrical test data, and adjustment specifications. Wire-size tables correlate SAE gauge numbers with permissible current ratings for the engine compartment and other vehicle areas.
The GDI volume includes the DCT Cross Sectional Drawing and ECM Harness Connector view with terminal-function tables. IPM circuit diagrams, Circuit Diagram – ESC, and the MDPS Circuit Diagram add body-control, stability-control, and electric-power-steering references.
Coverage and PDF Limitations
The engine mechanical chapter is T-GDI only; the GDI PDF has no corresponding chapter. The T-GDI engine specification table is marked “Except Europe.” Manual-transaxle specification pages identify M6CF1/Gasoline 1.6 GDI in both files. There is no internal gearbox-overhaul or conventional automatic-transaxle repair chapter.
Shared chapters are repeated between the two PDFs. Illustration coverage is incomplete, with numerous missing-image placeholders in the T-GDI engine and fuel-system sections and additional gaps in the GDI PDF.
Working with structural components, pressurized fuel, refrigerant, and airbag systems carries inherent risks. Always follow standard workshop safety protocols and verify equipment setup, or consult a certified master technician before initiating repairs.
