Theta II Engine and Drivetrain Repair
The engine-mechanical chapters address repair work well beyond routine maintenance. A6MF1 Hydraulic, TCM, and Solenoid Coverage
The A6MF1 material follows the oil pump, valve body, torque-converter clutch, overdrive clutch, underdrive brake, 2-6 brake, and 3-5-reverse clutch through the hydraulic and power-flow information. Separate sections cover fluid checking and replacement, complete-unit removal and installation, valve-body service, inhibitor-switch adjustment, the shift lever, and the oil-temperature, input-speed, and output-speed sensors.
Electrical diagnosis is tied directly to the TCM. The manuals provide CHG-A and CHG-K connector and terminal-function data, circuit information, Hall-effect speed-sensor operation, control coverage for the pressure, clutch, brake, converter, and shift solenoids, plus scan-tool diagnosis and TCM learning after transaxle or control-module work.
One scope limit is important: the A6MF1 chapter supports diagnosis, external service, valve-body work, and complete-unit removal and installation, but it is not a full internal geartrain bench-rebuild manual. The M6CF3-1 and M6GF2 material likewise concentrates on lubricant service, unit removal and installation, shift controls, external switches, and the related clutch hydraulics rather than full internal gearbox overhaul.
Electrical Diagnostics, Chassis, Body, HVAC, and SRS
Body-electrical coverage includes the BCM, smart key and keyless entry, immobilizer, push-button start, instrument cluster, audio and AVN, power windows and locks, mirrors, lighting, wiper/washer, sunroof initialization, and rear defogger. Setup and diagnostic procedures cover transmitter teaching, immobilizer registration, GDS fault retrieval, SRSCM variant coding, and occupant-detection reset and accuracy checks after restraint-system work.

Work involving supported powertrains, pressurized fuel or refrigerant, brake hydraulics, and deployable SRS components requires proper shop equipment and qualified assistance where appropriate.
